What's New? 

Be part of the Great Brass Band discussion. Join us at the 2025 Conference and Annual General Meeting on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November, at the West Plaza Hotel, 110 Wakefield Street, Te Aro, Wellington 6142.

Saturday, 8 November: The conference weekend will begin with a brief introduction in the upstairs meeting room at the West Plaza Hotel. Then, workshop sessions begin at 11.00am. These workshops are free to attend, with lunch and afternoon tea included.
The sessions are:
What’s the Score: David Bremner offers tips on preparing a score for a concert or contest.
Guest Speaker: Join Jessica Palalagi, General Manager of The Arts Foundation, for an insight into the arts in New Zealand.  
Back to School: Vickie van Uden will inspire you to get an instrumental programme running in primary schools.
Know Your Value: the vital role of the treasurer in keeping the band going, with Carolyn Cordery, Adjunct Professor of Victoria’s School of Accounting and Commercial Law.
Promotion: Cameron Burnett from the NZ Army Band gives tips on how to use social media to tell your story and boost engagement.

Dinner and drinks, anyone? Let’s keep the Great Brass Band discussion going in a social setting over a drink in the hotel bar, followed by dinner at Cin Cin’s Italian restaurant.

Sunday 9 November: The 93rd Annual General Meeting of the Brass Band Association of New Zealand will be held in Meeting Room One at the West Plaza Hotel.
Bands and District Associations can register their delegate here

 Join us for tea or coffee from 8.30am when you register. The AGM runs from 9.30am to approximately 3.30pm. There will be a short break for a working lunch served in the hotel’s restaurant.
